Clubhouse
The Crum Elbow Sportsmen's Association (CESA) was organized in 1938 and incorporated in 1940.
The clubhouse and grounds are located along Cardinal Road in the Town of Hyde Park.
The property consists of the clubhouse, skeet and trap field, pavilion, rifle/pistol/archery range and a pond.
Pavilion
Next to the clubhouse is a large covered pavilion with picnic tables
and a barbecue area.
Skeet/Trap
One of the most popular activities at the club is skeet and trap shooting.
Located directly off the back of the clubhouse, the field has a trap house centered between one set of skeet houses.
The fields are open 7 days for members and their guest(s).
CESA has upgraded the skeet range with new MEC skeet machines. This upgrade not only provides for straighter, more precise high and low targets for American Skeet, but also adds the capability to shoot "Modern Skeet". Modern Skeet, also known as Wobble Skeet, adds the challenge of randomly vertical moving high and low house targets. We are excited to announce "Wobble Wednesdays" to supplement our successful Five Stand Friday's". We encourage everyone to come out and try this great new sport. See Skeet-Trap Field Rules. Gun Range
Crum Elbow's rifle range has a maximum shooting distance of 100 yards.
The range is fenced in and for members and their guests only.
There are separate sections for long guns and a covered area for pistols.
Range rules apply.
Archery
The archery range is located adjacent to the gun range.
It has a separate parking area for easy access and is in a woodsy setting making for a relaxing environment in which to practice target shooting.
See the archery policy section for specifics on using this area. Pond
The pond is stocked by the club every spring with rainbow trout in preparation for "Kids Fishing Day".
It is available to members and their families after that for fishing only (no boating, swimming, ice skating, etc.).
Located adjacent to the club, the pond is within easy walking distance from the parking lot.
See the policies relating to the pond use. Club Property Map |
