The Crum Elbow Sportsmen's Association was organized in 1938 and incorporated in 1940. Its clubhouse and grounds are located along Cardinal Road in the Town of Hyde Park. The building consists of two stories with a large kitchen and social area on the bottom floor.
The upper floor of the clubhouse consists of a meeting room with hardwood floors and a pool table. The walls are decorated with numerous game animals and a big fireplace on the end. Access to the trap/skeet fields directly off the back of the building makes it a comfortable place to socialize during winter shooting months. The club house can also be rented (See rental guidelines).
Downstairs is a full kitchen, a bar area as well as an open area for seating or activities.
Next to the clubhouse is a large covered pavilion with picnic tables and a barbecue area.
One of the most popular activities at the club is skeet and trap shooting. Located directly off the back of the clubhouse, the field has a trap house centered between one set of skeet houses. The fields are open 7 days for members and their guest(s). See Skeet-Trap Field Rules.
Crum Elbow's rifle range has a maximum shooting distance of 100 yards. It also serves as the archery range which is situated perpendicular to, and behind the benches so that both rifle/pistol and archery shooting can take place at the same time. The range is fenced in and for members and their permissible guests only. Range rules apply.
A target house is located by the gun range for those wishing to hone their bow shooting skills. The shooting space runs perpendicular to the gun range so both can operate simultaneously.
The trout pond is stocked by the members and is available to members fishing only. Located adjacent to the club, the pond is within easy walking distance from the parking lot. See the policies relating to the pond use.
